TEAM ESSENTIALS: WHAT'S PROVIDED (AND WHAT'S NOT) FOR YOUR TEAM

Culinary Club provides:

  • Secret ingredient for your dishes
  • Garbage Can
  • Table with water
  • $50 for groceries
  • Food warmers to store your finished dishes while waiting for judging
  • Paper plates, plastic utensils, cups/dishes for popular vote
  • 1 power outlet (not the entire strip) per team

Your team provides:

  • 1 or 2 BBQ grills (smoker, tandoori if you want) on which to cook (we will allow early light time for charcoal to heat). Please check with your sections, classmates, family and friends if you need help in obtaining them. They will be the only source of heat that you will be allowed to use to cook. Remember, you don't necessarily have to grill the food, you can come up with other creative ways to use the heat from the grill. If you use charcoal, we will allow you to light it up before the start time but you will be responsible for disposal of ash.
  • All ingredients (other than secret ingredient) for your dishes
  • Additional cooking utensils
  • Small allotment for groceries
  • Groceries beyond allotment - we recommend collecting a dollar or two from people in your section
  • Plates to enhance presentation (optional)
